THE GREEN ROOM AT THE NEW GLOBE
The Green Room at the New Globe is a secure, privately-owned
electronic meetingplace for professional writers and those preparing for
careers in writing. It is associated with the twenty-five year old
organization, Authors and Directors of Fine Writing for Theater and
Film, whose officers form the Board of the Green Room at the New Globe.
The Green Room at the New Globe is open to all writers, but is
particularly attuned to the exigencies of Professional Playwrights,
Screenwrights, Directors, Actors, Critical Writers, Theatrical and
Filmic Support Staff, and individuals preparing for those professions.
The conversation primarily concerns the creation and writing of scripts,
as well as contact-networking for production and publication. In the
Green Room at the New Globe, we follow the "Ladies and Gentlemen of the
Theater" policy of polite, open, positive, informational colloquy - with
delightful dashes of humor.
Our Chatelaine, Dr. Patricia Robinson-Linder, considers this part of
the network her virtual living room and expects all users to abide there
with politesse. For example, if one of the members asks you to leave the
Chat Room, you are expected to do so quietly and without fanfare. Any
private, outside connection with anyone conversing on this Chat is also
to follow the Green Room at the New Globe principles of dignity and courtesy.
Those unable to abide by these policies will be barred from further participation.
Above all, we want the Green Room at the New Globe to be known as an on-going
conversation by current and future professionals.
We do NOT tolerate sexism, ageism, racism, profanity, blasphemy, or
wounding epithets.
Nota Bene:
Unless you are a contributing official member of the Green Room at the
New Globe, we cannot answer questions with regard to format, grammar,
and punctuation. Once you become a member, other members will assist
you. Indeed, members are expected to be contributors, as well as
questioners and listeners.
To Become a Member for the First Time:
1. Email at least one paragraph of established credentials or, if in
preparation for the profession, a statement of your filmic and/or
theatrical aspirations. Send to:

2. Wait for our response. Once you have obtained our return
information by email, you may proceed to the Green Room at the New Globe
and join in.
